Breakwater draws on over 25 years of experiencing serving corporate, non-profits and individuals. Breakwater recognizes that every person and every organization’s needs are different. We provide customized, creative solutions for each client. Before beginning, we work with you to identify your authentic needs, then design a program that meets those needs. We do not believe in “one size fits all.”  We utilize a “whole-brain” approach that more effectively engages the person and a team.  Our team building initiatives run from half-day to three-day program retreats. All of our services are structured to meet both your business and resource needs and can be designed for on-site and off-site locations.  In the current environment, smart mid-sized and large companies are making investments in their people, the key resource for on-going sustainability.

ABOUT JAYE SMITH:

Jaye Smith, Breakwater founder, lead consultant and facilitator
Jaye’s career as a facilitator, executive coach and organizational effectiveness consultant spans over 25 years. Her mission is to help people, teams, and organizations be vital and chart a course of action that is fulfilling for them and produces extraordinary results. Her forte also lies in helping organizations build more effective leaders and managers. Jaye leaves a lasting impact, utilizing a wide range of tools to educate and build resilience. She leads teams through a strategic planning process that is sustainable and results-oriented. Her programs are interactive, fun, and practical.  Jaye has had a life-time commitment to serving her clients to support their growth, development and sustainability.

Prior to building Breakwater, Jaye was a co-founder and President of Partners In Human Resources International. A full service human resources consulting firm. There she served as president and provided leadership and strategic planning advice to their clients.

Jaye designed and currently leads a program titled “Managing for Innovation” Leadership Development Program for City University of  NY and New York Opportunity, providing leadership skills for program managers and leaders in city agencies and non-profit organizations with the mandate of alleviating poverty.

Jaye is the co-author of Venus Unbound, a guide to building self-esteem in women.

Jaye served on the board of directors of Harlem Dowling Westside Center for Children and Family Services, a Preventive Service organization for 22 years.  Jaye holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from New York University and a B.A. in Psychology from City College of the City University of New York.

Jaye is certified in Sound Healing from the New York Open Center and the Integrative Sound and Music Institute. In addition, she is a certified Gong practitioner, Level 1,2 and 3 through The Red Door Studios with Martha Collard and the London College of Sound. Jaye is certified Reiki Energy healing

Jaye is also a Managing Partner of Reboot Partners, LLC. With her partners (Cathy Allen, Nancy Bearg, and Rita Foley) wrote:
